Mariam Chokor is a legal researcher and a Master’s in Law student at the Lebanese University interested in the field of human rights and specifically education. She has established projects to support the rights of women and children in education and participated as an ambassador to many international and local organizations.

Mariam holds about 30 of certificates of completion in international training programs in which she participated in the field of law, business administration and leadership.

She also works in the field of teaching basic languages, helping children unable to get their right to education to spread literacy through personal campaigns and courses or by volunteering at NGOs.

She is a Volunteer and activist in ten of Lebanese NGOs and campaigns The Female Power, ‘Give them Hope’, Borderless, and The International English Club, and The Volunteer Circle.

Mariam Chokor participated as an ambassador for the International Literacy Foundation, which established literacy campaigns in Lebanon and Organize advocacy events to raise literacy awareness around the world and participated at Lebanese conferences to raise awareness

She completed the leadership program for Lebanese youth with UNDP and programs related to emotional intelligence, Data Management, and social awareness

She also participated in local and international legal conferences as the inter-University Program for International Criminal Law and Procedure.

She seeks to work more on enhancing her social studies and always aim to increase her involvement in the society by trainings and workshops related to entrepreneurship besides writing articles and to help individuals besides working on projects and volunteering activities. Her strengths include building and implementing effective strategies to enhance the individual knowing what their rights are and to work on themselves to be better in the society through legal writings because communities don’t succeed only when individuals know their rights.
