Fadi Hachem | Contributor
Fadi Hachem is a law graduate from the Lebanese University and Licensed Mediator from Saint Joseph University. He is currently an LLM candidate in Public International Law at the University of Amsterdam, focusing on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. In the past years, he has represented Lebanon in the MENA leadership academy of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and was honored by the French institute after winning the International Competition on Child Rights (LabCitoyen), joining together 57 countries of the world. Currently, Fadi is a registered trainee lawyer at the Beirut Bar Association.
Since his university years, Fadi has been working with ALEF – Act for Human Rights, where he led Civic Space, Child Rights, and Criminal justice projects and oversaw and implemented monitoring violations related to human rights. Further, Fadi has worked at the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) as a Temporary Program Coordinator for the MENA Region. He currently works as a Project Consultant and Research Coordinator for Search for Common Ground on their project on freedom of religion and social cohesion. In addition, Fadi also works as Human Rights Violations Policy Expert at Helem, a Lebanese and SAWANA Region organization working on LGBTQ+ rights.
During his years of work, Fadi has taken on and completed many consultancies and was contracted on many projects in the field of human rights law, public policy, and research which I will be delighted to discuss with you further. They include the National Commission for Lebanese Women, the Lebanese Union for People with Physical Disabilities, ACTED, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, UNICEF, UNFPA, and PAX for Peace.
